Erika is a highly skilled marketing professional with over 20 years of experience driving brand awareness, audience growth, and revenue. She has led marketing for both large churches and corporate organizations and has served as a Marketing Executive for non-profit organizations where she has led numerous community initiatives.
Prior to launching her consulting practice, Erika led the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of California Riverside Administration. She served as the lead consultant for notable small businesses across over 400 business owners, helping them procure government contracts and producing over 100 marketing and business training workshops. Having a passion for education has resulted in over 55 hours of consulting led on by the team. She currently helps the Negros Christian alumni board of the San Diego City CPA representatives, as well as several boards in the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation Community Development Center.
Erika has served as the CMO for several digital marketing agencies and a non-profit. She has worked closely with churches and corporate organizations, including some of the largest healthcare and travel companies. She has also led community partnerships, managed innovative programs, and worked on brand development and communication. She also has a personal love for marketing efforts at Saddleback Church, and that happens to be where she answered her call to Christ. Working alongside Pastor Rick Warren has helped her closely with senior leadership on launches that achieved over $1 million in contributions, and projects with profit-margins exceeding approximately $250 million.
After pursuing her passion for ministry, Erika became the Marketing Director for Bayview Baptist Church. In this highly visible and well-known community leader organization, Erika performs a high level of knowledge and skill. She completely revamped the entire organization's strategy. She has spearheaded fresh new ways for engaging the community that brought lasting impact and made a difference.
Erika has provided digital marketing training services for organizations like Operation Hope, the City Heights Community Development Corporation, the University of California Los Angeles, CTAA, the San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, Urban League of San Diego, the New Generation New Beginning Christian Center, and the University of Florida 100 Black Men Association.
Erika is the founder of Wisdom Gems, Inc., a non-profit Christian organization that provides mentorship to young ladies ages 13-18 in underprivileged neighborhoods who need encouragement to discover their purpose. The organization offers an in-person workshop, full-program enrollment, and individual quarterly events. Programs include vision-board workshops, leadership and life-skills.
Erika holds a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, a Certificate in Mass Communication, Mediation, and Conflict Resolution from Cornerstone University, and an MBA in Marketing.
